Year 9 and 10 students had an excellent time visiting classical sites in Napoli and Rome last week. They learned about the volcanic eruption in 79AD that destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum (amongst other towns) and were able to visit the well-preserved archaeological remains of these towns and to see first-hand how the people there were living almost 2000 years ago.
