Our Head Girl, Laura has recently been fundraising in order to buy school supplies for three different schools (600 children in total) in a village in Nepal. Over half term, along with her family, she visited these schools to present them with enough supplies for six months thanks to the generous donations made by staff and students from EIC. These supplies were greatly appreciated. They will make a huge difference to the children's education and will also relieve some of the economic burden for their families as they live in a place where a family of four has to live on a yearly income of €2,400.
Along with the supplies, Laura presented each school with a volleyball and football and had the opportunity to teach the children some English games and songs.
