Monday 11th of March to Friday 15th was Science week which acknowledges and celebrates the significance of science not only here at the EIC, but internationally. In the Secondary school we had a number of lunchtime presentations by teachers and Sixth Form students on a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence, electric cars, plastics, vaccinations, how the brain works and more!
On Friday all of the Secondary school students were invited to the Andalucía Lab where they enjoyed a talk from our guest speaker Paul Reddish about wildlife film production. Students were invited to contribute facts about hummingbirds which were recorded and used to develop the story on which to base the film narrative. We were then treated to several extracts of the actual award-winning film which was produced by Paul and narrated by David Attenborough.
