On Saturday the 19th of September we celebrated "World Clean-up Day" by participating in a hugely successful beach clean-up at our local beach in Cabopino.
A group of keen environmentalists got together to help make our local environment a better place. The EIC participation was astounding. Our Sixth Form were excellent role models and we had a good turnout from students and staff across the school.
Miss Katia brought our youngest EIC representative, a future pupil, which was exciting. We were even joined by some EIC alumni which was inspiring.
A total of ten members of staff led by example and gave up an hour or so of their Saturday morning to motivate our pupils to save our planet.
Just over 100kg of plastic rubbish was collected which is both amazing and worrying, however, it will certainly make a big difference to our local environment.
Many thanks to all who attended. We look forward to seeing many more EICers at the next event.
