We are really excited to announce that the EiC (Marbella) has been shortlisted for the 2021 International Schools Awards, hosted by ISC Research, for our initiative to support “Initiative to support students’ pathways to continued/university education”.
Our Horizons programme is unique to our school, and aims to nurture knowledge incorporating wider philosophy; moreover any issue which challenges students. The course transcends academia by also encouraging citizenship by meaningfully engaging students with worthy local charities. The Horizons course includes initiatives in all key stages. KS1 and 2 students are encouraged to develop skills in independent learning through extended Primary Projects, KS3 students continue to hone their thinking outside of the curriculum with “Star Awards” (extended platforms across all subjects in order to accommodate "gifted & talented" students and or foster lifelong learning). The overarching aims of Horizons throughout the school climax in the sixth form through both the Horizons Diploma and the Extended Project Qualification. The Team is pioneering a “Year of Innovation” (2021) including online learning & alternative strategies of pedagogy.
