As we navigate our way through the new waves of restrictions and rules, it seems important to try and maintain a little sense of normality. The students at EIC are used to a plethora of competitive events taking place throughout the school year and we were determined to make school life and certainly PE life seem as normal as possible. So, roll on Inter House Cross Country. This is an event that would normally take place in January, with the winners being selected to represent EIC at the International Schools event. With this not taking place this year, we wanted to make sure that we made the Inter House competition an event to remember.
It did not disappoint and the children, from Year 1 to Year 6 all rose to the occasion. There were some remarkable achievements and we were so proud of how hard the children pushed in their races. Some of the finishes were worthy of an Olympic arena, they were so close and exciting. It was great to see some new talent shining through at the finish line which just goes to show that children do indeed rise to the occasion when it matters . The children have worked so hard in the run up to this event and it was amazing to see the culmination of all their hard work paying off for them. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make this day possible, it was the perfect way to end a busy and eventful term. Happy holidays everyone!
