The Year 12s took last week to look at their options for university. They were given a series of presentations on areas such as the practicalities of choosing a course and a university, using Unifrog platform to create shortlists, how to complete the UCAS application, how to write an outstanding personal statement and applying to Oxbridge. In addition there were also sessions on the university system and how to apply to universities in countries such as Spain, Netherlands, Ireland and the USA.
Finally, we had a series of Q&As from ex-students on their experiences of the application process and university life in England, Scotland, London & Amsterdam. The week concluded with each Year 12 giving a short presentation to their tutors and peers on their research, explaining which courses and universities they were looking into and what they needed to do over the summer to improve their applications. Overall, it was a successful and important week as our senior students begin to plan for life after EIC
