"Boys and girls of every age,
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This, our town of Halloween!"
We certainly brought Halloween to EIC on the last Friday of the half term with a spooktacular event organised by the PTA, students and staff. The tradition of celebrating this autumnal festival has always been a firm favourite on our calendar, but this year it felt bigger, more enchanting and even more magnificent than ever before!
All students were treated to a day of fun, frolics and frights! Our now annual "Wake Up, Spook Up" led by Mr Will, ensured that all of the Primary students were ready and raring for the day ahead. This was swiftly followed by a surprise performance from the Primary staff who transformed into Men in Black - emphasising to the students and parents that the learning of new skills never stops! Our PTA worked tirelessly to turn the Main Hall into a thrilling Haunted House experience. Working alongside our KS3 and KS4 House Captains, the space was transformed and would not have looked out of place on a movie set! It was both thrilling and chilling in equal measure!
All of this alongside incredible costumes, a school decorated to the rafters and lots of activities from face painting, to Trick or Treating; eye-ball and spoon races to messy brain boxes; it was a fantastic way to celebrate a successful and busy half-term. Our thanks as ever, to our wonderfully creative and hardworking PTA, and to all of the parents for the decoration donations and super efforts with costumes. Also to our House Captains who really came into their own and helped to make the day such a success.
"This is #halloween!"....at EIC!
