In preparation for the “ COBIS - Council of British International Schools World Debate Competition” dovetailing with EIC´s “Year of Environmental Awareness” & all within the narrative of the COP26 climate change emergency summit, the Horizons Department hosted a Sixth Form debate, the motion being “THBT violence is justified given that state of the climate emergency”.
Both Year 12 & 13 presented dramatic arguments in an evenly balanced contest. Ultimately, both teams were informative and engaging, raising the profile even further of climate emergency within our community.
Regarding our local environment, good luck today & thank you to Miss Heike and the Year 7 Eco Team, who are helping realign the biodiversity at the local dune. You are all true eco warriors as actions speak louder than words!
