Wow - what a show! Year Two performed the show of their young lives this morning and we were all so proud of them!
The show began when the Year Two Rap Crew took us on a journey through the year with a super-cool rap! Then, we were dazzled by our Times Tables whizz-kids who amazed us, both with their 6 Time Tables knowledge and their energetic dancing! After that, we settled down to watch a charming performance of an original fable called, 'The Snail and the Cheetah'. The children had written the story themselves and performed it so confidently. We then went exploring and found out some very interesting facts about explorers, both from the past and the modern day. Kendra's voice was wonderful to hear narrating this section, as she joined us all the way from America online! In both of these sections the children's acting and clear voices were so polished.
The tempo then stepped up for a fun Spanish section, where the children impressed us with their clear, spoken Spanish, singing and dancing. A repeat performance of the Summer Fiesta dance came next and the children delivered their message of, 'Treat People With Kindness' with style and enthusiasm! To end the show, the children sang 'This is Our School' and the pride in their faces said it all - we love our school!
The children have demonstrated that they are ready to move on now, but their final performance, as they say goodbye to Key Stage One, will be one that will stay in all of our hearts for a long time.
