Sleigh bells ring,
Are you listening?
At EIC, the sun is glistening,
A beautiful sight,
The children are happy tonight,
Dancing in our Winter Wonderland.
How magical that we were able to bring all of the Christmas cheer to The EIC with the return of our Primary Christmas performances. In the beautiful December sunshine we watched every Primary student from Early Years right through to Year 6 sing, dance and perform like the stars that they are to Christmas tunes from Shakin Stevens through to Ed Sheeran!
Our wonderful PTA had set up some lovely stalls and the man in red himself even made a special visit. Some very brave Primary students also took on the challenge of performing as soloists in front of our lovely tree and they were all simply wonderful.
The look of sheer joy on the faces of the audience were a reminder to us all of everything that we needed to know at this very busy time of the year, and famously once told by Dr. Seuss:
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store."
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"
From all of the teachers and students in Primary, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
