On Monday, Year Two went on a fantastic trip to Selwo Aventura. They have been learning about 'Living Things and Their Habitats' and this was the perfect conclusion to their Science work.
We had a full tour of the park and Thomas, our guide, told us a lot of fascinating facts about the animals. It was really important to learn about the endangered animals and how important it is to conserve them. Year Two were excited and scared to go on the high, wobbly bridge, but everyone did it and the children were proud of themselves.
It was a real treat to have lunch in the cafe and everyone was hungry after walking around all morning. We then saw some of the larger animals, such as the giraffes and hippos. The children asked lots of thoughtful questions and they learned such a lot. The guide commented on the children's wonderful behaviour. They all came back to school tired and happy.
