Year 4 students sat in awe in the laboratory as a Bunsen burner was lit up and gases were produced and collected by the downward displacement of water. We were learning about the components of AIR and what we breathe out. The pictures tell the story. They confirmed that the components of heat energy, water vapour and carbon dioxide what we breathe out. Although the children were a bit apprehensive about blowing into lime water, they managed to turn it milky, proving the presence of carbon dioxide. They also conducted an experiment to find out the percentage of oxygen in the air.
Well done to all the children. I loved your enthusiasm and you behaved marvellously in the laboratory.
