As part of their learning about 'Animals and the Natural Habitats', Year 5 enjoyed a great day out at Pequeña Africa. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by our tour guides and their snake, the whole day was a fully hands on experience for the children. We met a variety of animals from cats and dogs, to turkeys and geese, to horses and zebras, to lions and tigers, and a few more along the way.
Children all took part in a short horse ride, watched an extremely intimate bird show with birds speeding past them and were enthralled to see the tigers and lions being fed.
It was wonderful to be able to walk amongst some of the smaller animals in their natural habitats. A truly fantastic experience was had by all.
