Thursday was a big day for the Year 11 students, as they consider their future options. During the day they were given an explanation of the new subjects available at A level - Economics, Politics, Sociology and Psychology, as well as the IPQ. After school, the students and their parents were invited to hear about life in the Sixth Form at the EIC. After an initial talk on the aims of the Sixth Form and all of the extracurricular activities which are on offer, focus turned to choosing A Level subjects. Giving careful consideration to their option choices is the first, important, step towards achieving success at A level and having a wide range of university choices. Therefore, following an explanation of factors the Year 11s should consider there was an opportunity to talk with subject teachers about the nature of the courses on offer before they make this important decision.
