On Thursday, Year Two went on a fantastic trip to Selwo Aventura. We have been learning about 'Living Things and Their Habitats' and this was the perfect conclusion to our Science work. We have also been learning all about Explorers, so we decided to go exploring in the park!
We had a full tour of the park and Eva, our guide, told us a lot of fascinating facts about the animals. It was really interesting to learn about the endangered animals and how important it is to conserve them. Year Two were excited and scared to walk on the high, wobbly bridge, but everyone did it and the children were proud of themselves.
It was a real treat to have lunch in the cafe and everyone was hungry after walking around all morning. After lunch, we enjoyed a relaxing meditation to prepare our bodies and minds for more adventure!
In the afternoon, we saw some of the larger animals, such as the giraffes, lions and rhinos. The children asked lots of thoughtful questions and they learned such a lot. We all came back to school tired and happy.
