On Friday, we said goodbye to our Year 13s, who had their last day at school before sitting their A-Level exams. As is tradition, the Year 13s—and in a new tradition, some of their teachers—came in fancy dress as celebrities and film characters. We celebrated their time at EIC, some having been here since the Early Years, with a buffet breakfast where they and their teachers from Secondary and Primary were able to reminisce about their school life. This was followed by the Year 13 vs Staff football match, with much of the rest of the school coming out to cheer the teams on. Despite the majority of the support being for the Staff, the Year 13s secured a well-deserved victory with a last-minute goal. The afternoon was then spent relaxing after the efforts, with a trip down to the beach.
Many thanks to Juani and her team, the maintenance team, Victoria, the PTA and, of course, the Sixth Form tutors and all the staff for helping the day to run so smoothly.
The Year 13s will be back in school to sit their exams, and we wish them all the very best before we say a formal farewell at the Graduation Dinner and Speech Day.
