Last Friday, Year 6 celebrated the end of their final Primary assessments with a visit to Amazonia. As soon as they stepped on the coach the excitement was palpable, and this continued as the day progressed. Individuals achieving their own goals of climbing higher than they had before, others encouraging and helping their peers who had their own fears and some enjoying these moments with peers who they might not normally spend time with. It was great to see the children getting on so well with each other and seeing the children in a different environment gelling as the 2024 Year 6 cohort. This is really important because developing trust and friendships is vital since they are soon about to embark on another new journey into the world of Secondary, which is only a moment away.
Together as a group they are stronger and will be able to count on each other. As long as they have each other, they should feel confident about taking on new challenges. The two Year 6 classes had the chance to mix too and seeing them having a wonderful time climbing and ziplining and chatting their way through the pine forest so close to school was a special day out! Overall, it was an amazing trip that saw everybody having lots of fun and laughter!
