Preparations were well underway for our annual Summer Fiesta throughout the month of May, both by the PTA and the students who were performing. This year, the theme was "Festival" and it was to be a celebration of everything that makes our summertime what it is! Inspiration was drawn from the likes of Glastonbury, Coachella, Party in the Park and Benicassim to name just a few; now we can most certainly add EIC Summer Fest to that iconic list!
The atmosphere was electric, yet relaxed, as the whole of The EIC came together to perform, party and celebrate. The bar was most certainly raised with regards to all of the performances this year; from the epic dance medleys that each Primary year group executed with panache and passion, to the sheer, raw talent and emotional performances from our Secondary students. It is fair to say that if you missed it, you most certainly, missed out!
With a new wristband concept introduced this year, the "Party on the Pitch" ensured that students were well entertained away from the stage as well. In addition, we had some fantastic food and beverages for sale which kept everyone happy and full! The raffle also attracted a record number of entries with a plethora of fantastic prizes on offer.
