Building on the success of our lunchtime Sound Gardens and with the hall not quite ready to hold full scale productions, the Expressive Arts department, with the help of Ellie and Kevin in Year 12, decided to expand the lunchtime music sessions into a Musicals Sound Groove concert. With over 30 performers from Secondary taking part, Years 5 and 6 alongside all of Secondary were treated to a selection of fantastic performances from a variety of famous musicals such as Les Misérables, Chicago, Mathilda, School of Rock and Mamma Mia.
The dance group, soloists, the choir and the Year 10 band (with a surprise special guest!) captivated and delighted audience members with their talent, confidence and breathtaking performances as we celebrated all things Musical Theatre! We look forward to future themed Sound Grooves next year!
