On a beautiful evening at the Marbella Golf Club, the Year 13s Class of 2024, together with the Year 12 students and their teachers, gathered for the Graduation Dinner. The event was a splendid affair, set against the picturesque backdrop of lush greens and serene landscapes, offering the perfect ambience to celebrate the culmination of their school journey.
The evening began with a warm welcome as students, dressed in their finest attire, mingled, got class photos and shared memories.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the speeches, including a 'Guess the Baby Photo' competition of Year 13 students (and tutors), which led to debate, surprises and a lot of laughter. This was followed by a look back at each student's time at EIC and the 'Most Likely To' awards, where students were (often humorously) recognised for their unique traits and future aspirations.
My thanks go to all of their subject teachers (and Ms Kaly, who taught the year group in Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4) who have helped the students through their educational journey and to the tutors, who are always there to support and cajole them.
The evening was a true testament to the close-knit community at EIC and as the night drew to a close, there was a collective hope that the students enjoyed the night and would cherish these moments forever. A touching message was shared, expressing how much the Class of 2024 will be missed by everyone at EIC. While there will be a more formal farewell at Speech Day, we congratulate the EIC Class of 2024 – you will be missed, and we wish you all the success in your future endeavours.
