Extra! Extra! Read all about it! On Friday afternoon, we welcomed our Year 5 Mums and Dads into school for our first 'Come and See Me' initiative. That meant that our students and their Mums and Dads began the afternoon by playing traditional Victorian outdoor games, including Hopscotch, Skipping and Marbles. After some fun and games, the Year 5 children took their Mums and Dads into the classrooms to show them their books and share with them their favourite pieces of work.
That led onto the finale in the Main Hall, which was our Year 5 Assembly! We put on a play about a day in the life of a paperboy, who on their paper round introduced us to a host of characters, including factory workers, school children and teachers, chimney sweeps, bobbies on the beat and more.
