On Thursday Year Two went on a fantastic trip to the Fire Station in Marbella. At school, we are learning about 'The Great Fire of London', so we went to the Fire Station to find out how much better firefighting is now, compared to the past.
We learned all about what we should do if we are in a fire and how we can stay safe. The firefighters showed us their special uniform and equipment. We found out all about the different parts of the fire station and we learned that, when the fire fighters are on a shift, they have to sleep and eat at the fire station. The best part of the day was when we all had an opportunity to spray water with the big hose!
Jose and Angel, the firefighters who talked to us, were so impressed with the children's wonderful listening and sensible behaviour.
