Dance has enriched the Secondary curriculum, making a significant impact on our students. On December 11th, a group of 14 students from Year 8 to Year 13 participated in the Costa Del Sol International Schools Team Dance Competition for the first time. Full of excitement and nerves, they competed with two routines: one in the KS4/5 Classic/Contemporary category and another in the Freestyle category.
Despite the long wait to perform, our students embraced the event’s spirit, supporting other schools. They showcased their hard work in their lyrical routine to “The Secret” by OneRepublic, earning first place and a trophy. Their second performance to ABBA’s “Voulez-Vous” was energetic and joyful, rounding off the day’s performances.
The competition not only highlighted their talent but also inspired them for future events, with talks already underway for next year. A big thank you to Miss Harriet, Dudley, and Laude for their support in this wonderful celebration of dance.
