Last Friday, twelve local international schools competed in the Primary Inter-school Cross Country competition. The event is largely regarded as a team event, where athletes from Year 1 to Year 6 run to accumulate as many points as possible for their school. The beautiful Mediterranean coastline and perfect weather conditions provided the idyllic backdrop for the event. Athletes from all schools gave it their all, and in the spirit of mutual appreciation, they cheered each other on regardless of team affiliation.
A heartfelt congratulations must go to all the athletes who participated. Sports serve as a proving ground for life, teaching resilience, teamwork, and the value of hard work, preparing individuals to tackle real-world challenges with discipline and grace. Congratulations to Sotogrande, Aloha, and EIC, who placed first, second, and third, respectively.
A personal thank you goes to the fantastic Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 helpers. You were an asset to the event! And a huge thank you to all the teachers from all schools who made the day truly special.
